- Descriptive Geographic & Informational Use Only: Any reference to a mountain resort, highway pass, or trail network on SledBrain.com is made strictly in plain text for geographic, meteorological, and informational identification under Canadian law and does not imply any association, authorization, or endorsement by the trademark owner.
- Independent Advertising Inventory: All advertising, sponsor cards, map pins, and banner placements offered on SledBrain.com and BCOnlineStore.com are independent media placements sold solely by SledBrain.com / BC Online Store Group (Artistic World Graphics). We never sell sponsorships on behalf of any ski resort or third-party mountain operator.
- Direct Links to Official Resort Websites: We provide direct outbound links to each resort's official website so visitors can verify official lift status, grooming reports, trail maps, and ticket policies directly from the resort operator.
Non-Affiliation & Liability Notice: SledBrain.com (operated by Artistic World Graphics / BC Online Store) is an independent telemetry & backcountry resource. We do not represent, and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any ski resort, mountain operator, or government agency mentioned on this site. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. Weather & highway pass data is provided "AS IS" without warranty.
2. Backcountry, Weather & Highway Telemetry Disclaimer
Backcountry snowmobiling, skiing, snowboarding, splitboarding, and winter mountain highway travel involve inherent, severe risks—including avalanches, tree wells, cliffs, extreme sub-zero exposure, equipment failure, and rapidly changing alpine weather that can result in serious personal injury, property damage, or death.
All weather telemetry, snowfall totals, wind speeds, avalanche danger ratings, readiness calculators, GPS coordinates, and highway pass statuses displayed on SledBrain.com are aggregated from public feeds (including Open-Meteo, Environment Canada, Avalanche Canada, and DriveBC Open511) and are provided strictly on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis for general informational planning only, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Limitation of Liability: By using SledBrain.com or the SledBrain Offline Map App (/app), you acknowledge and agree that SledBrain.com, Artistic World Graphics, the BC Online Store Group, and their owners, contributors, and data providers shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your reliance on any information provided on this website. Always check official bulletins at Avalanche.ca, DriveBC.ca, and official resort patrol channels before heading into the mountains.
3. Privacy Policy (PIPEDA & BC PIPA) & Offline GPS Storage
SledBrain.com complies with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (BC PIPA).
- Device-Local Offline GPS Telemetry & IndexedDB Storage (
/app): When you use the SledBrain Offline BC Map App (/app), your GPS coordinates, elevation breadcrumbs, SAR UTM/MGRS calculations, and cached topographic map tiles are processed and stored 100% locally in your own device browser (viaIndexedDB,localStorage, and Service Worker cache) so the map works without cell service. Zero Location Tracking: Your live backcountry GPS coordinates never leave your device unless you explicitly click "Copy SAR Packet" or share a rescue link yourself. We never track, harvest, transmit, or sell your location data. - One-Click Local Data Purge: You can wipe all locally cached telemetry and consent settings at any time using the "Purge Local Storage" button inside the Offline Map App or by clearing your browser site data.
- Advertising & Partner Orders: When you submit an advertising order or partnership inquiry on sledbrain.com/advertise or complete checkout on bconlinestore.com, we collect your business name, contact email, target website URL, and ad placement details solely to fulfill your sponsorship, issue receipts, and provide customer support.
4. CASL Compliance (Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation)
We adhere strictly to Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We only send commercial electronic messages (CEMs) where we have express opt-in consent or qualifying transactional/business inquiry consent. Every communication clearly identifies SledBrain / BC Online Store Group (operated by Artistic World Graphics in British Columbia, Canada) and includes a one-click unsubscribe mechanism.
