Classifieds Legal Terms, Assumption of Risk & Privacy Policy (6 Clauses)

View Legal & Privacy Terms ▼

Please review these binding conditions before buying, selling, or communicating through the SledBrain.com BC Classifieds board. Full platform legal terms are also published at sledbrain.com/privacy.

1. Passive Venue Only • Zero Brokerage ▼

SledBrain.com (operated by Artistic World Graphics / BC Online Store Group) acts strictly as a passive electronic bulletin board for paid user-submitted advertisements. We do not own, inspect, test, verify, broker, hold escrow for, or transfer title to any snowmobile, trailer, sled deck, avalanche transceiver, or gear posted on this page. All transactions are strictly buyer-to-seller at your own sole risk.

2. Used Avalanche & Safety Gear Warning ▼

Used avalanche transceivers/beacons, airbag packs, helmets, probes, and mechanical snowmobile components carry severe life-safety risks if damaged, outdated, or recalled. Items are listed by private sellers strictly "AS-IS, WHERE-IS" without any warranty of fitness or merchantability from SledBrain.com. Buyers must have all safety and mechanical equipment inspected and certified by the manufacturer or a qualified technician prior to backcountry use.

3. VIN, Lien & Anti-Fraud Rules (BC PPSA) ▼

Never send deposits, e-Transfers, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency sight-unseen. Always meet in person during daylight at an RCMP / municipal police safe-exchange lot, physically match the stamped Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to official ICBC / provincial registration papers, and run a BC Personal Property Registry (PPSA) lien check before paying.

4. Sample Ad & Trademark Non-Affiliation ▼

Any card marked [SAMPLE AD — EXAMPLE ONLY] is a fictional layout demonstration created solely to illustrate how a 30-day paid listing looks. Sample cards do not represent real goods for sale, and SledBrain.com has zero affiliation with or endorsement from any snowmobile, trailer, or gear manufacturer.

5. Privacy, EXIF Stripping & Data Retention ▼

Under Canada's PIPEDA and BC PIPA: (a) Seller name and contact details entered into the form are published publicly on the listing card for 30 days so prospective buyers can contact you directly, then automatically purged upon expiration; (b) Uploaded photos are automatically re-encoded at ≤ 800px width with camera EXIF/GPS location metadata stripped to protect your home/shop privacy.

6. $10 / $25 Paid Policy & Instant Takedowns ▼

The $10.00 CAD Standard Listing and $25.00 CAD Featured Top Pin fees cover automated anti-spam verification, secure image sanitization, and 30 days of hosting via BCOnlineStore.com (Stripe/WooCommerce). Illegal, stolen, recalled, or deceptive listings are removed immediately without refund. To remove your sold ad early or report a listing—no questions asked—use our Contact & Takedown Desk (/contact).
